South Africa Tender Compliance Checklist for Suppliers
Tender compliance is about proving that your business meets the exact administrative, technical and commercial requirements in the bid document before the deadline.
Updated 2026-09-11 · Always confirm requirements in the official tender pack.
Common business documents
Many bids ask for current company registration information, tax compliance evidence, CSD information, B-BBEE evidence, banking details and proof of address. Requirements differ, so use this as a preparation list rather than a substitute for the bid pack.
- CIPC company documents and authorised signatory details.
- SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or the document specified by the buyer.
- CSD registration and supplier information.
- B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit where applicable.
- Relevant references, experience and key personnel evidence.
Standard bid forms
South African public bids may include SBD forms such as declarations of interest and preference-point claims. Complete every required field, sign where requested and check whether initials, dates or supporting documents are required.
Final responsiveness check
Before submitting, compare your response line by line with the tender checklist. Confirm the price schedule, signatures, file names, mandatory briefing attendance and delivery method. Keep a complete copy of what was submitted.
