Frequently Asked Questions

Can a Grade 1 contractor bid on Grade 2 tenders?

In general, you cannot be awarded a contract exceeding your registered grading value. However, in Joint Ventures (JVs), the combined financial and track record capacity can qualify for a higher joint grading under the CIDB JV formula.

How long does a CIDB registration remain valid?

A CIDB registration is valid for 3 years, provided annual renewal fees are paid. To upgrade to a higher grade within that period, you can submit an application for re-evaluation with updated financial statements.
